Equifax, Inc. Software Engineer in Saint Louis, Missouri
Software Engineer for Equifax Inc. in St. Louis, MO (Multiple Positions Available) to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain software, products and/or systems; guide and mentor junior developers in developing code and workflow procedures. Conduct code reviews; perform application development activities, including unit testing, code deployment to development environment and technical documentation preparation. Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software. Manage individual project priorities and deadlines. Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design. Work independently to support software through the entire software development life cycle. Work on one or more projects, making contributions to unfamiliar code written by team members. Diagnose and resolve performance issues. Participate in estimation process, use case specifications, reviews of test plans and test cases, requirements, and project planning. Document code/processes so that any other developer is able to dive in with minimal effort. Introduce tools and automates repetitive processes. Responsible for the design, development and implementation of short and long-term solutions to information technology needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems or applications infrastructure. Requires: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of software development experience or, alternatively, a Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of software development experience. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Agile development and CI/CD using Maven or Jenkins; At least 1 of the following: NoSQL databases (Cassandra, Couchbase, or MongoDB) and Relational databases (Oracle or Postgres); Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure; Java/J2EE programming, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React JS, Angular JS, or REST; SQL or PL/SQL; Chef, RPM, Docker, AWS, or Terraform; and Linux/Unix, SVN, GIT, or Subversion.
