Location: VCA Vitality Animal Hospital

VCA Vitality is a small animal hospital with a big heart. Our team is made up of compassionate veterinary professionals dedicated to providing high-quality care for our furry patients. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Veterinary Technician to join our team.

Our hospital takes pride in being AAHA accredited and will be Fear Free certified by the end of this year. This achievement is a result of the hard work of our team, and we are grateful for their efforts. At VCA Vitality, we offer our services to dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and pocket pets.

Responsibilities of our Veterinary Technician Team:

You will play a vital role in providing exceptional veterinary care to our patients while promoting a healthy work-life balance. We understand the importance of maintaining a fulfilling personal life alongside a rewarding career, and we are committed to supporting our team members in achieving this balance.The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist veterinarians in diagnosing and treating animals for various medical conditions.

  • Perform various medical procedures such as vaccinations, dental cleanings, and surgical assistance.

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.

  • Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results to aid in the diagnosis of illnesses.

  • Monitor anesthesia during surgeries and assist in recovery procedures.

  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and medication administration.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.

  • Provide compassionate and gentle handling of animals to minimize stress and ensure their well-being.

  • Assist in the maintenance of veterinary equipment and supplies.

  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care and customer service.

  • Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.

Schedule: Full-time opportunity with rotating Saturday's.

Compensation: Starting at $23 - 26 / hour. Pay dependent on experience and licensure.

Must have a current veterinary technician license in the state of Oregon or be eligible to transfer/obtain a license in Oregon.
