Help us drive energy transformation on a production basis, performing moderate mechanical assembly work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Assembling structures according to engineering specifications, utilizing hand tools and portable power tools.

We are looking for an ambitious and driven colleague that wants to work closely with our local operations team.

Essential Duties (other duties may be assigned)

  • Manage and operate equipment associated with all Hand Spray applications.  Able to monitor and adjust pertinent KV settings, gun to part distance, and general equipment set up along with monitoring booth air flow settings to ensure optimum coating application.

  • Must understand parts prepping procedure as it affects the final appearance of the product.

  • Willing to train and learn operations associated with painting equipment, new technology etc.

  • Must know operations associated with paint delivery systems, P Mix, Pressure Pots etc. and general cleaning responsibilities associated with the systems.

  • Can perform manual spray proficiently.

  • Must be capable of Monitoring and Documenting – Gauges, dials, and other indicators.

  • Visually and mechanically inspect products for adequate coating thickness, identify potential quality issues, and take necessary actions to correct any issues.

  • Operate equipment to log oven temperatures, air supply conditions and interpret results.

  • Maintain a clean and safe operating environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • 1 + year experience in wet paint application /automotive preferred.

  • 1+ year experience buffing, polishing, and/or wet sanding .

  • Highly detail oriented.

  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and collaborate with others.

  • Anticipates needs and problems while creating solutions.

  • Inventory control experience preferred .

  • Must have experience operating equipment associated with all Primer, Basecoat and Clear coat hand applications.

  • Be able to perform each essential duty listed for the position.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal direction.

  • Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate..

Physical Demands:

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
