Financial Controller:
We are seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department and collaborate closely with the CFO to manage financial responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all accounting functions including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
Prepare and release timely monthly financial statements.
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reports.
Address technical accounting matters for compliance.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure accuracy and quality control in financial transactions and reporting.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
Establish and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
Coordinate audit activities.
Monitor and report on financial metrics.
Oversee the internal controls framework.
Review and approve journal entries.
Prepare and approve monthly commissions.
Maintain technical accounting policies.
Perform additional controller duties as needed.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in Finance roles within software or related industries.
Proficiency in managing general ledger, financial and accounting reporting, and familiarity with current accounting standards.
Experience with financial tools like NetSuite ERP system.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
CPA certification is required.
Education:
Bachelor's degree minimum, Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
5-7 years of relevant experience preferred.
