We are currently seeking a results-driven and self-motivated individual to join us as an Ocean Export Agent. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient movement of freight and information while delivering exceptional customer service within our Ocean Export Department. Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the smooth and timely flow of freight processes, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently from start to finish.

  • Perform accurate and punctual data entry into our operational system, ensuring all relevant information is appropriately documented.

  • Monitor and trace Ocean Export files throughout their journey, providing timely updates and reports on their status.

  • Uphold compliance with internal and external regulations, including adherence to government mandates, to ensure the legality and safety of shipments.

  • Analyze departmental process flows and identify opportunities to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and boost productivity.

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for customers within our internal software, ensuring all protocols are up-to-date and readily accessible.

  • Manage communications with overseas counterparts and promptly address inquiries and requests, both internally and externally, to maintain smooth operations.

  • Promptly escalate any significant issues or challenges to management for timely resolution and effective decision-making.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing role, showcasing exceptional customer service skills.

  • Proficiency in data entry, data analysis, and professional communication, both verbal and written.

  • Proactive and meticulously organized, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Strong computer literacy, encompassing data entry and Outlook proficiency, coupled with a readiness to adapt to new systems and processes.

  • Outstanding communication abilities, effectively conveying information in both verbal and written forms.

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, exhibiting a dedicated commitment to achieving objectives.

  • Long-term career focus, with a drive for personal and professional growth.
