The Grants and Contracts Officer (GCO) will be a part of the Core Team at the Nora Eccles Harrison Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute (CVRTI) at the University of Utah Health Sciences Campus. The CVRTI integrates professors and trainees across academic departments to nucleate a campus wide cell-to-bedside approach in cardiovascular education and research and includes 16 investigator faculty members with independent laboratories.We are looking for an experienced individual to join our Grants Team. The GCO will be responsible for overseeing pre- and post- award grants management. This position assists investigators by performing administrative and technical functions associated with grants, contracts, and other agreements from external funding sources. The grants administrator also serves as a liaison to the Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP), Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), the Office of the Vice President and Research, and other campus entities as necessary.Strong communication and organizational skills are necessary as is an ability to remain positive in interactions with CVRTI and larger University of Utah faculty and staff.
