Job Summary

The University of Utah Diagnostic Neuroimaging Laboratory has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow to assist with grant-funded clinical research focused on neurobiological and neurocognitive correlates of psychiatric disorders. Current studies include longitudinal assessment of adolescents ( ABCD study) and studies on adults (veteran and non-veteran studies of sex differences in psychiatry symptoms; substance use disorders; and suicide risk and prevention). Responsibilities include acquisition of data including administration of clinical and mood symptoms scales and neurocognitive assessments; data analysis; preparing and presenting results through oral presentations and manuscripts; and assistance with grant writing. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in psychology, neuroscience, public health, statistics, or another field related to human subjects research or mental health.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include data collection through standardized clinical interviews and questionnaires; statistical data analysis and communication of findings; preparation of abstracts, posters, and manuscripts; and assistance with grant writing.

Minimum Qualifications

This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated vaccination requirements, or be approved for an exemption, prior to the first day of work.
