The Workday Finance Operations team balances critical thinking with operational excellence that helps guide and scale team operations to support the company's growth towards $10B of revenue and beyond. About the Role

 

Workday is seeking a versatile Sr. Manager, Accounting - Finance Operations to join our team to support our Contracts, Invoicing and Revenue teams supporting Professional Services. Our employees are at the core of our business which means the ideal candidate has a passion for managing and motivating people, growing talent, and building high performing teams. We are looking for a leader that thrives in a high growth environment and has a demonstrated track record of successful project management, talent development, and implementation of process improvements that scale to future growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for operational and financial processes with professional services contracts, billings, and revenue recognition for various service offerings.

  • Oversee all team month end tasks / responsibilities and ensure accurate, timely, and completeness with team transactions and reconciliations.

  • Effectively collaborate with Order-to-Cash cross-functional teams to support company initiatives.

  • Lead team cross-functional efforts in driving departmental efficiencies and scaling process for future growth.

  • Lead special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as needed; drive projects to successful completion with minimal oversight.

  • Support and operationalize go-to-market initiatives.

  • Develop business intelligence / analytics / benchmark metrics for operational and financial reporting.

  • Analyze results to identify emerging trends and clearly communicates results and recommendations to senior business leaders.

  • Oversee compliance and guidance with internal controls and risk mitigation.

  • Drive talent development initiatives within team and Finance Operations.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team.

     

     

     

About You

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years relevant Accounting experience

  • 4+ years in People Leadership / Managerial role

     

Other Qualifications:

  • MBA or CPA preferred.

  • High proficiency with MS Office, Salesforce.com, and experience using Workday are a plus.

  • Proven track record for creating and fostering team growth and efficiencies.

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and influencing skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills.

  • Ability to work independently, with general direction and guidance.

  • Abilit to adapt to rapid business and organizational changes that accompany a high-growth environment.

     

     

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

 

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $134,300 USD - $229,600 USD
