Our BluePearl hospital in the Stone Oak community of San Antonio serves the greater San Antonio metropolitan area and was the first local specialty veterinary hospital. The approximately 19,000-square-foot hospital houses a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic options, including an on-site MRI, CT scanner, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy. Board-certified specialists offer a multitude of services, such as emergency and critical care, internal medicine, rehabilitation, surgery, neurology, and neurosurgery.

Role Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) with 3+ years of experience.

  • Active veterinary and state-specific DEA licenses.

  • Proficiency in multi-modal pain management, hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services.

  • Ability to provide services in both home settings and BluePearl hospitals.

  • Skilled in quality-of-life conversations and end-of-life care.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Self-motivated, reliable, and empathetic.

  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and registration.

  • Access to a clean, reliable vehicle (preferably hatchback-style).

  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted and performing physical tasks consistently.

  • Must own a smartphone with Wi-Fi access.

  • Advanced training in hospice and palliative care preferred but not required.

In addition to “hearts and smarts,” we are looking for veterinarians who wish to advance their skills in specialty-level pain and symptom management and end-of-life care. We want someone who shares in our desire to make a lasting contribution within the field of palliative medicine within our industry.  

Compensation and Sign-On Bonus:

  • Competitive Base + Production-based Compensation with no negative accrual
