Job Description
The Commercial Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems utilizing their knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatics, and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts. The role requires experience in a manufacturing facility and familiarity with Daikin units, Innovent & Trane RTU’s. You must be proficient in using recovery units, pulling vacuums, using basic hand tools, installing and removing compressors, and soldering copper pipes up to 2-1/8”. The technician will work on RTU’s up to 250 tons and must possess basic electrical skills, including inspecting grounded compressors, checking bad motors and fuses, reading amp meters, and being comfortable with 3 phase compressors and 480v systems. EPA Universal certification is required, along with knowledge of 40-ton compressors or better, industrial RTU’s, low voltage 480v to 24v systems, and troubleshooting. Skills in using voltage meters, both digital and manual gauges, pulling vacuums on compressors, and working with R410A, R32A, and/or R23 refrigerants are necessary. Understanding micro-controller boards, ABB Drives, and having strong computer skills with Microsoft Word and Excel is essential. The role also demands basic computer skills for sending emails, updating work orders, and troubleshooting high & low sensors and pressure sensors. The technician should be self-motivated and willing to work in various weather conditions.

This is a fully on-site position in San Antonio, Texas.
Work Environment
Manufacturing environment, can be noisy. Requires steel toes, safety glasses, and long pants without holes or tears. Day shift starting between 6-9 a.m. and ending around 4-6 p.m.
