As an MDM Engineer in Enterprise Data Organization, you'll be a part of the development team in the MDM area. The role requires you to think critically, design with cloud first principles. You partner with other engineers and the leads within data and application IT teams to deliver scalable, performant, highly available solutions to drive business impact. You'll have the opportunity to continuously learn and apply the latest innovations and best practices in this domain. You’ll also mentor other engineers and further develop your technical knowledge and skills to keep Farmers at the cutting edge of technology.

This position will support our IT team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of any of the following locations:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and configure Profisee (or other) MDM solutions to meet business requirements

  • Support and lead development of front and back end for Master Data Management solutions in available tools in alignment with team strategy

  • Troubleshoots system performance issues, propose improvements, resolve issues and provide ongoing support and maintenance for MDM solutions

  • Maintain MDM solutions in production (including workflows, APIs, UX/UI)

  • Collaborate with data stewards to define, configure, and enforce data governance policies

  • Ensure data quality by developing and implementing data validation, cleansing, and enrichment processes

  • Produce elegant and efficient designs, high performance, and scalable code that allows for easy extension to future needs

  • Have a deep understanding of and implement MDM best practices

  • Adheres to big picture view of how various connected system designs should be consolidated or affected

  • Effectively and actively plays the role of technical advisor and subject matter expert for MDM projects, providing advice on process and design

  • Initiates and actively facilitates meetings and issue resolution involving the right individuals

  • Effectively performs code walk-throughs and reviews/approves test cases

  • Provides accurate and timely input to MDM Lead and project management regarding status of technical tasks for self and team.

  • Deliver MDM software solutions in line with clear requirement & use cases

  • Fully participate in agile team working with product/tech owner, and team members to understand, analyze, and develop code data requirements specific to Master Data Management

  • Design ETL Flow based on the requirements of the specific use case

  • Use the appropriate tools and frameworks available to develop the data acquisition and ingestion process in accordance with the approved design

  • Leverage workflow tools to maintain accurate status of assigned tasks (Azure DevOps, etc.).

  • Assist to build out data model with other team members

  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is a plus

Education & Experience

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related analytical field preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant professional experience required

  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in MDM implementations using Profisee or other related MDM tools (e.g. Informatica, SAP MDG) as well as an overall strong software engineering background (SQL) on AWS or equivalent Cloud Data Platform

  • Experience with designing/building a MDM UX/UI, data models & distribution layer (including API’s, Azure ADF) and working hand in hand with MDM data consumers

  • Hands on experience and expertise in MDM (Master Data Management) tool for analysis, design, development, integration and testing Master Data Management Services. Profisee experience is a plus

  • Technical skills for development and maintenance in C#, APIs, workflow is a plus

  • Solid understanding of master data, data quality and data stewardship concepts

  • 2+ years of experience with DevOps model: implement, maintain, and improve Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processes, tools, and environments where appropriate

  • Proven independent contribution to efficiency, pace and quality

  • Ability to explain complex concepts/issues in simple terms

  • Ability to accurately identify root cause of technical problems

  • Ability to identify and appropriately escalate issues/risks to management for direction

  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written

  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology
