Google Partner Engineer, YouTube TV in San Bruno, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).

  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

  • Experience coding with SQL programming language.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in the media industry, including television and video technologies.

  • Experience with advertising-supported content models.

  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, multitasking, project management, and communication skills.

  • A passion for working with movies, television, or video content.

The team is focused on building the future of TV for YouTube and works across a variety of initiatives like YouTube TV, YouTube Primetime Channels, NFL Sunday Ticket, and Free ad-supported TV. As a YouTube TV Partner Engineer, you will be responsible for building and improving the operational workflows, tools, and scale that make these initiatives a reality.

YouTube/Video Global Solutions is the link between Google video products and sales. Our mission is to fuel innovation that keeps YouTube and Video free and accessible to the world. We do this by translating global market needs into meaningful product solutions that drive business results for content partners and customers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $94,500-$139,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Identify, drive, and optimize various operational workflows and tools (e.g., web-based and command line scripts) between partners and YouTube.

  • Improve operations by developing automation scripts and dashboards.

  • Improve product feature offerings by providing feedback to internal cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering.

  • Perform implementation reviews, advocate new product features, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.

  • Contribute to improving productivity by building infrastructure for onboarding and ongoing support.
