Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a versatile Mechanical Engineer who thrives in a start-up R&D environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing new capital equipment, specifically robotic cart systems, from the ground up. You will spend 70% of your time using Solidworks to design components, create complex assemblies, and produce detailed drawings. The remaining 30% will be hands-on work in the lab, including cable work, thermal testing, and working on electronics components in San Carlos.

Hard Skills:

• Designing capital equipment in Solidworks

• Electronics packaging

• Designing robotic carts (chassis system + electronics packaging + skin/cover)

• DFMEA

Job Type:

This is a permanent position.

Work Site:

This is a hybrid position requiring days on-site in San Carlos and San Jose, California.

Interview Information:

There are 3 rounds of interviews:

• 30-minute phone screen with the hiring manager

• 60-90 minute technical video screen with the hiring manager

• Half-day panel interview and presentation with 6-8 leaders
