Insight Global Biocompatibility Scientist in San Clemente, California

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Level II Biocompatibility Engineer for a large Life Sciences and medical device company located in San Clemente in a hybrid setting with at least 3 days a week onsite. In this position you will leverage your understanding of the medical device biocompatibility field to provide guidance throughout the product development cycle, interpret regulatory requirements, and support the biocompatibility strategy. Using analytical skills, you will review scientific data, identify gaps, and recommend risk mitigation strategies with varied experimental models.

This engineer will be supporting product development of different medical devices (catheters, IV Pumps, drug delivery systems, etc.) in pre and postproduction stages through contributing to the testing and evaluation of these devices, materials, and processes. The ideal candidate will have experience writing test plans, assessments and troubleshooting tests. You will be working closely with cross functional R&D team members to comply with global regulatory standards such as ISO 10993 through writing test plans, reports, and evaluations.

This role is a 12 month contract with the high possibility of becoming a full time role after the year mark. The estimated salary for this role ranges from 95-110k.

Skills and Requirements

  • With BS Degree: 5-7+ years required With MA Degree: 3-5+ years of experience in biocompatibility in the medical device industry

  • Strong fundamental understanding of ISO 10993 and experience writing test plans, assessments, and troubleshooting.

  • Bachelor's Degree in biology, biochemistry, toxicology, pharmaceutical science, pharmacology, analytical chemistry, or materials science PhD or Masters Degree that was thesis based. null
