Overview:

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with a passion for property management? Robert Half is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in supporting the financial operations of property management businesses. Join us and contribute your expertise to the dynamic world of real estate.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for multiple properties.

• Process rent payments, utility bills, and vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.

• Reconcile tenant accounts and address any billing discrepancies promptly.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements for individual properties.

• Track and analyze property expenses, including maintenance and repair costs.

• Collaborate with property managers to ensure accurate recording of leasing activity and tenant payments.

• Support year-end audits and tax preparation processes as needed.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

• Previous experience in accounting roles within the property management industry strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and Microsoft Excel.

• Understanding of property management accounting principles, including CAM reconciliations and lease administration.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with property managers and tenants.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in property management accounting practices.
