Description

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our client's team in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry located in San Diego, California. This role will involve supporting our team through various administrative tasks, with a focus on maintaining medical records and ordering medical equipment. This is a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with filing of important documents and maintaining an organized filing system

• Handle the scanning and auditing of medical records ensuring accuracy and completeness

• Be responsible for ordering necessary medical equipment, specifically Durable Medical Equipment (DME)

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) for various tasks including data entry, email correspondence, and scheduling appointments

• Deliver excellent customer service while handling inbound and outbound calls

• Actively seek information and ask questions to ensure understanding of tasks

• Maintain a professional demeanor and refrain from personal distractions, such as cell phone use, during work hours

• Show initiative and utilize common sense in the execution of daily tasks

• Ensure all customer records are accurate and up-to-date.

Note: The successful candidate should be comfortable working onsite for approximately 5 hours a day. Business casual attire is expected.

Requirements • Previous experience in a healthcare, hospital, or social assistance setting

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to handle inbound and outbound calls professionally

• Proven ability to schedule and manage appointments effectively

• Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records

• Excellent written communication skills for email correspondence

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines

• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and needs of the organization

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals

• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training.
