Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support our clients in the legal industry!

Position Overview:

The Billing Specialist will play a critical role in our finance team, responsible for accurately and efficiently managing the billing process. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and generate client invoices in accordance with billing guidelines and client agreements.

• Review billing entries for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper coding and documentation.

• Coordinate with attorneys and staff to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.

• Maintain billing records and documentation in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Assist with month-end billing reconciliation and reporting.

• Respond to client inquiries regarding billing statements and account balances.

• Collaborate with the finance team to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency.

• Perform other billing-related tasks and ad-hoc projects as needed.

  Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).

• 2+ years of experience in billing or accounting roles, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.

• Proficiency in billing software such as Elite, Aderant, or similar platforms.

• Strong understanding of billing processes and best practices.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with legal billing guidelines and regulations (preferred but not required).
