Job Summary:

Assist the Readiness and Training Officer with the full spectrum of training and evaluation tasks. Serves as a continuity at the EOD Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit while operational platoons supporting exercises, operations and contingencies. Serve as a subject matter expert on readiness and training systems and databases, facilitating unit and individual level training, and help ensure all operational units are at maximum readiness for combat operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the EOD Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit onsite as a training and readiness coordinator.

  • Act as a Schools and Range coordinator, scheduling all individual training courses and unit level training venues and ranges.

  • Coordinate with client in the development of long range training plans and deconflict training plans across numerous units.

  • Provide subject matter expertise support on readiness applications from a systems and policy perspective through knowledge of the information technology structure, update cycle, and authoritative data resident within the applications, including Readiness Cost Reporting Program (RCRP), Advanced Skills Management (ASM), Fleet Training Management Planning System (FLTMPS), Navy Training Information Management System (NTIMS), Defense Readiness Reporting System Navy (DRRS-N), Navy Readiness Reporting Enterprise Business Intelligence (NRRE-BI), and other authoritative databases integrating with DRRS-N or RCRP.

  • Perform analysis of force training readiness and assist RTO with identifying key factors affecting readiness.

    Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of experience as a previously qualified US Navy EOD Master Technician (NEC 5337) or 1140 EOD qualified officer. (Can be waived if extensive experience with NECC and EOD units.)

  • Experience with all NECC authoritative database requirements and discerning each individual data element's weight and relationship to the final product resident in the various computer-based programs.

  • Knowledge of multiple databases used to capture individual and unit training progress and how they feed final products reported at RCRP or DRRS-N.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience with authoritative readiness data sources.

  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Certifications in the following systems is highly desired:

o Navy Training Information Management System (NTIMS)

o Total Force Manpower Management System (TFMMS)

o Navy Enlisted System (NES)

o Officer Personnel Information System (OPINS)

o Readiness Cost Engine - Training (RCE-T)

o Navy Readiness Reporting Enterprise - Business Intelligence (NRRE-BI)

o Data Collection and Scheduling Tool (DCAST)

o Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS)

o Web-Enabled Scheduling System (WEBSKED)
