Job Brief
Logistics Operations Manager - Contingent Position
GVI, Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Department of Defense industry leader, is seeking a Logistics Operations Lead to support our Customer in San Diego, CA.
Any candidate being considered MUST have at least three (3) years’ experience in an SAP (i.e. N-ERP, GCSS, PBUSE) run operation in at least one of the following functional areas:
Warehouse Management (WM), Inventory Management (IM) or Material Management (MM).
Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of Supply/Logistics experience in a DoD related environment in any capacity (Active Duty, Government Civilian or Contractor) is required.
Qualified Candidates will be expected to:
Plan employees’ work schedules and assign duties.
Conduct required training to ensure employees understand all aspects of their position.
Prepare and maintain work records and reports of information such as employee time and wages, daily receipts, or inspection results.
Resolve problems concerning transportation, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, disposal, and transfer of materials and supplies.
Ensure material being transferred to a DLA activity meets P700 packaging requirements.
Conduct causative research in SAP to resolve discrepancies.
Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, training, and safety records.
Comply with all OSHA regulations and directives.
Position Requirements:
US Citizen.
Must be clearable as well as the ability to obtain and maintain an Active Public Trust Designation.
BS or BA degree in Business Administration or other related technical discipline.
Four (4) years of acquisition or operational logistics management experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree.
An MS or MA degree may be substituted for two (2) years of operations logistics experience.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in DoD related logistics to include purchasing, transportation, receiving, storing, inventorying, packaging, shipping, and disposing of materials and supplies though ten (10) years is highly desirable.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the use of logistical/resource planning software that is SAP based.
Knowledge of Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP) in processing all transactions and development of required reports for related warehouse activities.
Thorough knowledge of the US/DoD N-ERP inventory management systems is preferred.
Must be able to frequently lift 50lbs.
Valid US Driver’s License.
