Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working in a fast-paced multi-facility environment, with a focus on providing the best possible service to a demanding group of customers.

  • A substantial understanding of the concepts of facilities maintenance in multiple construction disciplines.

  • Ability to apply their substantial understanding of facilities maintenance concepts in innovative ways to complete tasks.

  • Skilled ability to use specialized tools and test equipment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbal and written business.

  • Demonstrates the ability to apply their advanced understanding of facilities maintenance concepts to create new maintenance programs or improve existing maintenance programs.

  • Demonstrates an advanced ability to use specialized tools and test equipment.

  • May on occasion initiate new maintenance tasks as needed by direction from team leads or facilities management.

  • Expected to work unsupervised while accomplishing all site maintenance tasks except those tasks that require additional team members for safety.

  • May act as a team lead with junior team members.

  • Works alone on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative.

  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of the impact facilities work will have to the customer and can make recommendations for solutions or alternatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize tasks in a self-directed work environment and maintain high levels of productivity without direct supervision.

  • Wide experience performing a variety of electrical, plumbing, food equipment and building repairs.

  • Strong customer service and problem-solving aptitude.

  • The ability to communicate effectively and provide direction to contractors and vendors performing services for the company.

  • Must have the ability to learn quickly, work autonomously, and address any issues that arise day or night.

  • Detail oriented.

  • A willingness to provide on-call support in case of emergencies or other off-hours issues.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Valid Driver’s license with good driving record.

  • Other responsibilities and duties as directed.

Description

Candidate is responsible for scheduling and completing repair requests made through the Facilities work order system. Work includes but is not limited to: - Plumbing repairs and maintenance to include clearing clogged lines, toilet, and urinal replacement, locating and repairing leaks, flush valve repair and fixture replacements. - General carpentry work. - Minor electrical repairs. A basic understanding of electrical safety is a must. - Door and door hardware repair and replacement including closer replacements, wood, glass and metal door repair and replacement and emergency board-ups. - Restaurant equipment repair and maintenance. - Espresso and coffee machine maintenance and repairs. - Emergency and permanent repairs to mitigate trip, slip and fall hazards. - Providing support to various internal business units to perform a wide variety of services ensuring that special events are successful. - Various types of flooring and ceiling repair. - Respond to emergencies including nights and weekends when to correct unsafe or hazardous conditions.

Education & Experience

AA, BA/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred Demonstrated coursework through mechanical/electrical trade school or a certification program a plus

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $35.45 and $53.20/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
