Girl Scouts San Diego Membership Recruitment Assistant -- Part-Time; Temporary in San Diego, California
We are seeking applicants for a temporary part-time Membership Recruitment Assistant who will be responsible for implementing recruiting strategies to increase participation and awareness in Girl Scouting through a variety of in-person meetings, presentations and opportunities with various schools, organizations, and other community constituents.
In this role, your Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include:
Implementing membership strategies in assigned areas to achieve the council’s corporate goals for girl and adult membership
Start new troops in each assigned area through the generation of leads in partnership with the Membership Recruitment Specialists
Creates new leads and troops by contacting organizations that work specifically with children including schools, community and faith-based organizations and other businesses that are within an assigned area
Assist in scheduling, promoting and facilitating events, presentations or meetings in assigned area
Represent Girl Scouts San Diego at schools, events, and other locations
Follow-up and follow-through with leads and referrals in a timely manner
Performs additional duties as assigned to assist in fulfillment of the council's mission and goals
To be a good fit for this position, you will need :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of related work experience, preferred
Experience in sales, membership recruiting or other related area, highly desired
Bilingual in English/Spanish, preferred
Knowledge of community resources/contacts/services, preferred
Ability to cultivate, foster, maintain, and manage relationships and network effectively with diverse individuals, communities, and organizations.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to present information to various audiences and communities.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed
Valid drivers’ license, proof of insurance, and access to reliable transportation, and ability to travel within San Diego County as needed to perform duties of the position.
Must have belief in the mission and values of Girl Scouting; be willing to subscribe to the principles expressed in the Promise and Law, and aware of the needs of girls in our pluralistic society
