General Summary:

The candidate will be responsible to support Mulitmedia R&D team for development of computer vision and machine learning technologies. The tasks require data collection, data annotation, data analysis, and maintaining the team's requests to capture/annotate new data. The candidate will be responsible for acquiring, assembling and installing devices/accessories needed for data collection and the required equipment/accessory setup. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the collected data and work with the design/engineering teams and third parties to facilitate the validation and analysis of the collected data and processing software. It is important for the candidate to have experience in GUI or script-based tools, have understanding of bash scripts, python and how to maintain code on tools like github. It is a plus if the candidate has experience with operating capture systems like Light Stage.

Minimum qualification:

1-2 years combined in below areas: Familiarity with mobile multimedia technologies (mainly camera and vision based). Installation and configuration of software/apps/accessories on mobile devices (Android/iOS) as well as PC. It is important for the candidate to have good communication, data presentation and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of Data Science and Machine Learning concepts like training, validation and basic algorithm/deep layer networks and configurations. Experience with annotation or parsing tools. Data collection, cleanup, labeling and analysis in technical/engineering fields. Basic programming skills in Bash, Perl, Python or C.

Minimum Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree preferably with science, math, statistics, business or equivalent major.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• 2+ years of experience with design, development, R&D, or similar experience in Electronics or related area.

Pay range:

$27.03 - $40.55

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
