Are you a dedicated accounting professional looking to make a difference in the non-profit sector? Robert Half is currently seeking a Staff Accountant with a passion for mission-driven work. Join our team on a contract basis and play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of a non-profit organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support organizational decision-making.

• Assist with grant accounting, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and reporting deadlines.

• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, investment accounts, and other financial statements.

• Collaborate with program managers and development staff to track restricted funds and grant expenditures.

• Support annual audit processes and liaise with external auditors as needed.

• Provide financial analysis and insights to help drive strategic initiatives and organizational goals.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

• Previous experience in accounting roles within the non-profit sector strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Fund E-Z) and Microsoft Excel.

• Solid understanding of non-profit accounting principles, including fund accounting and grant management.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
