Are you a payroll professional with experience in the construction industry? Robert Half is currently seeking a skilled individual to join our team on a contract basis as a Construction Payroll Specialist. In this role, you'll play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for construction projects. Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for construction projects, including hourly and salaried employees, union members, and subcontractors.

• Calculate and verify wages, deductions, and overtime according to applicable laws and regulations.

• Coordinate with project managers and HR to ensure accurate tracking of labor hours and job costing.

• Prepare certified payroll reports and ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements.

• Manage payroll-related inquiries from employees, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.

• Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries for payroll-related transactions.

• Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll regulations and industry standards.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction payroll processing required.

• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations, including prevailing wage requirements.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, HR, and external stakeholders.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Commitment to confidentiality and integrity in handling payroll information.
