ASM Global Seat Repair Technician in San Diego, California

The Seat Repair Technician is employed to inspect and repair all seating in the facility daily. If the person does not meet the requirements within the specified time they can be terminated at the Chief Engineer’s or Director of Operations’ sole discretion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Knowledge and use of basic welding trades. Both gas and arc welding are preferred.

  • Use and knowledge of use of power tools. i.e. drills, saws, grinders, sanders, etc.

  • Use and knowledge of use of basic hand tools. i.e. screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets, staple guns, etc.

  • The use and proper handling of paint and painting tools.

  • Responsible for constantly walking up and down the aisles for long periods while inspecting the seats.

  • He/she may be required to assist with other engineering or operational responsibilities such as ice maintenance, event assistance, or any other job or task required by the chief engineer or operations manager.

    REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires excellent organization skills, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management.

  • Must exhibit strong customer service skills, professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.

  • Must be self-motivated.

  • Ability to work smoothly and efficiently under pressure is required.

  • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and odd hours required by each event.

  • Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.

  • Knowledge of current building codes and seat regulations.

  • Position may require heavy lifting, climbing, carrying, stooping, crawling, and equipment operation both indoors and outdoors.

  • Must be able to pick up, lift, or carry items weighing as much as 50lbs at a time.

  • The position may require working at heights of 60 feet and over, as well as, walking on high catwalks

  • The position may require the ability to walk on concrete floors 4 to 6 miles per workday

  • This position is subject to adverse conditions.

  • High school diploma or GED or higher required.
