Job SummaryASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate part-time opening in our Security Office at Pechanga Arena in San Diego, CA. Our business is event based and our labor needs vary widely from week to week and event to event. For this reason, all of our part-time positions are 'as needed' and we cannot offer employees consistent schedules or a guaranteed number of hours per week.ResponsibilitiesPatrolling all areas of the property and parking lots, securing doors, ensuring the safety of all individuals on the premisesSecuring property during move in/out of all shows, concerts, events, etc.Conducts routine property walks throughout the facilityConducts inspections and audits to assure quality of service to personnelInteracts with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees professinallyAppropriately deals with 'unruly' peopleWorks independently, and judges and assesses situations for immediate responseResponds to emergency situationsAll other duties and responsibilities as assignedQualificationsA minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalenc2 years of related work experienceAn understanding of the rule of law and relevant penal codes.Ability to represent the Security Department in an exemplary manner.Ability to maintain good business relations with all the employees & managers in other departments.Ability to effectively perform in crises and work under pressure without the loss of composure.Ability to memorize, recollect, and quickly retrieve relevant information.Ability to interact effectively and calmly with angry or emotional patrons, etc. during intensely aggravated circumstances.Ability to maintain patron, employee and company confidentiality.Must have a current Guard CardASM Global provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.Please ensure you are applying on our ASM career site:
