Job Description

A client in San Diego, CA area is looking for aSecurity Specialistto join their team. They will be doing a variety of tasks such as providing customer and technical support for installed systems. They will be servicing and supporting existing customers by responding toservicecalls, carrying out customer support programs and small projects business. Scope of work includes technical assistance, systems checkout of new and existing installations, troubleshooting and maintenance and repair routines associated with installed Fire, Security, and/or Building Automation Systems.

Responds to routine and some non-routine customerservicecalls, scheduled maintenance calls

diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and debug systems for routine problems; installs projects as necessary.

analyzes repair requirements and provides customer with appropriate solutions; completes necessary repairs and replacements as needed

provide custom systems integrations, detailed systems upgrade planning and execution, systems audits and consultation, and/or database management and manipulation.

install, configure, and support a variety of network systems and equipment for assigned projects.

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

Minimum of 2 years of previous, relevant fieldserviceexperience, specifically in Access Controlor Alarm systems

Troubleshooting experience, server work, working with panel hardwiring (there will be around 40 panels at job site), experience working with open/close circuits

Experience in one or more of the following industries preferred: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation

This person will need to have a CAC (common access card) to be allowed on government property, company will have to sign off for it if they don't have one

Secret Clearance is required for this position, if candidate doesn't have one they are eligible for a temporary license as long as they can pass a background check and is eligible for a Secret Clearance

Programming experience is preferred, knowledge of Lenel or similar programming systems Preferred Experience: (but not required):

CCTV experience: Milestone / Genetec

Access Control experience: AMAG / Lenel / Genetec / Software House - CCURE / S2

Intrusion experience: DMP / Bosch
