Serco has a fantastic opportunity for you! We are hiring a Senior Naval Electronics Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team dedicated to supporting our U.S. Navy in San Diego, CA.

As a Senior Naval Electronics Maintenance Technician you should be capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment with a deep knowledge of safety, environmental, and technical standards. The candidate must understand the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual and the Navy Modernization Process, have at least one year of experience with the AN/SLQ-32 V6 System, and, for legacy roles, have one year of experience with the AN/SLQ-32 V1-V5 System. Familiarity with the AN/SLQ-32 V7 System and related subsystems is also necessary. Responsibilities include handling Casualty Reports, maintaining and reporting using specific naval tools, providing distance support, performing on-board technical assistance, and conducting various system tests. The role also requires fiber optic training and the ability to travel up to 10% of the time domestically and internationally.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the primary Lead in the following locations San Diego, CA and other appointed CONUS/OCONUS locations as required.

  • Be the point of contact (POC) between the contractor and the Fleet Readiness Coordinator to contractor technical activities related to the contract.

  • Provide day-to-day guidance to the work force at each location.

  • Work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Be a team player and work cross-functionally with other teams.

  • Attend meetings as required by the business.

  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

In this role, you will have:

  • A High School Diploma and a minimum of 12 years’ experience.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance.

  • Familiarity with NAVSEA processes.

  • The ability to successfully undergo a Background Investigation, Drug Screen, and obtain access to various shipyards & DBIDS.

  • The ability to effectively multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic production environment.

  • Knowledge of adherence documents including safety, environmental, workmanship, quality, and technical instructions.

  • Understanding of the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) and the Navy Modernization Process.

  • Understanding of System Operational Verification Tests and Test Plans Electrostatic Discharge (ESD10).

  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience with the AN/SLQ-32 V6 System.

  • For Legacy Technicians : One (1) year of demonstrated experience with the AN/SLQ-32 V1-V5 System.

  • Knowledge of the AN/SLQ-32 V7 System and/or Q-70, SEI and SLA-10B Subsystems.

  • Experience working Casualty Reports (CASREPs).

  • Experience with reporting (examples Daily Activity Report Tracker (DART) and System Progression Activity (SPAT).

  • Experience with Distance Support in accordance with the Joint Fleet Forces Maintenance Manual.

  • Experience with performing On Board Tech Assist (OBTA) in accordance with the JFFMM.

  • Experience with performing SOVT, PICO, CSATs, CSSQTs.

  • Fiber Optic Training.

  • The ability to travel domestically and internationally 10% of the time as requested.

Additional desired skills and experience:

  • An active secret clearance.

  • Conceptual knowledge of U.S. Navy Combat Systems, Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) systems, and MEWSD-supported systems preferred.

  • OSHA 10-hour Maritime #7615 Shipyard Training.

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $91,701.62 to $152,836.04: however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
