Overview:

Are you a skilled accountant with a background in the medical device industry and experience in finance? Robert Half is currently seeking a talented individual to join our team on a contract basis. As a Staff Accountant specializing in the medical device sector, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of companies in this dynamic industry. Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries, within the context of the medical device industry.

  • Perform financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of financial statements and reconciliations.

  • Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards, such as FDA regulations and ISO requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R& D, manufacturing, and sales, to track and analyze financial performance and support business initiatives.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely financial information and documentation.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes impacting the medical device sector.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

  • Previous experience in accounting roles within the medical device industry strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong understanding of finance principles and financial analysis techniques.

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to the medical device industry is advantageous.
