Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to support our client's accounting and finance functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure proper fund management.

  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to address accounting-related inquiries and resolve issues.

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, as needed.

  • Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

  • CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred.

  • Proven experience working in accounting roles, preferably within the legal industry.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members at all levels.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
