Robert Half is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our clients in the legal industry for a contract-to-hire role starting ASAP!

Position Overview:

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department with various accounting tasks. You will work closely with our finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain compliance with accounting regulations, and contribute to the overall success of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.

• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions on a monthly basis.

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies or errors.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial information and support decision-making processes.

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and legal regulations.

• Perform other ad-hoc accounting tasks as assigned.

  Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in the legal industry (preferred but not required).
