Naval Sea Systems Command Support Services Technician in San Diego, California

Summary You will serve as a Support Services Technician in the San Diego Detachment of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH. Responsibilities You will establish and maintain various computer databases to support activities associated with inspections, quality deficiencies, and other management processes as assigned. You will define and track internal performance metrics, and other tasks that require advanced knowledge of computer applications, such as, databases, flow charting, layouts and customized view graph presentations. You will troubleshoot and resolve reported customer IT problems and ensure complete resolution of the issue to the customer’s satisfaction. You will perform inventory management functions to conduct physical counts and inventory reconciliation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector creating and maintaining user profiles by providing proper access to support the administration of databases and IT systems. Examples of specialized experience may include the following: 1) Tracking performance metrics and other tasks that require advanced knowledge of computer applications. 2) Preparing metric and status reports to ensure the correct areas of processes are being analyzed. 3) Providing technical assistance to users to minizine operational disruptions. 4) Assisting with the recommendations on changes or purchases of computer hardware.
