Robert Half Senior UX Designer in San Francisco, California

Description

A leading enterprise in the music streaming industry is seeking a Senior UX Designer to lead and execute the consolidation of UI/UX design across various projects spanning multiple screen sizes and platforms. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with business leaders, engineers, product managers, and other UX and visual designers to design product design flows, interactions, and content strategies.

Location: San Fransisco, CA (hybrid-onsite 3 days/week)

Duration: 3-4 months

Hours: 40 hours/week

Pay Rate: $75-80/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Leading UX design efforts for projects impacting various aspects of the music experience.

  • Gathering relevant information from high-level requirements and guiding design direction by asking the right questions.

  • Iterating quickly on multiple design explorations to develop simple yet robust solutions that address complex requirements.

  • Validating designs through testing and iterating based on feedback.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, including executives, engineers, product managers, and researchers, to present and refine design work.

    Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in design (UX, product), HCI, behavioral economics, cognitive psychology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in UX design and research for products on web, mobile, voice, or emerging platforms.

  • Strong online portfolio demonstrating digital (web and app) work.

  • Experience collaborating directly with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with Pattern Libraries and various research and testing methodologies.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.

  • Strong desire for innovation while balancing business needs and customer expectations.

  • Proficiency in UI/UX design and prototyping tools.

  • Being a big music fan is a major plus!
