Job Summary and Mission

This position contributes to Starbucks success by acting as a member of a store design studio. This role provides project management support to a team of store designers including project management and documentation, and system and tools support. This key role enables the studio team to design stores that uphold the Starbucks Customer Experience while meeting cost, schedule, and operational requirements.

Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions may include part or all of the following based on business need:

  • Supportmanagersand seniormanagers withestablishedstudioreportingbygeneratingupdates,collectinginformation and distributing reports including generating design workload reporting.

  • Support establishedprocessforconsultantproposals,contractsandpayments;mayincluderoutingforapproval(s)and facilitating support when issues arise.

  • SupportnewPartnerandnewconsultanton-boardingwithkeyresources,systemsaccess,etc. including access to Box, Smartsheet, Miro, etc

  • Coordinateandscheduledesignreview sessions,includinggatheringdocumentsandpreparingagendas onbehalfof design review leaders.

  • Update Compass features for projects; add completed approvals to schematic packages

  • Coordinateandscheduleteammeetingsincludinggatheringdocuments andpreparingagendas onbehalfofthemeeting leader.

  • Managedesignlibrary,includingordering,receivingandorganizingsamples, as well as contactingvendors,coordinating with global concepts team and support services, etc.

  • Retrieve+organizekeydesignfilesandbusiness documentsneeded fordesigncreationandprojectmanagementfrom project start to close-out, including coordination with external consultants.

  • Provideadministrativesupportfor digitalfilesystem, Including updates and creation of digital files such as Miro boards for use in Market Planning, Scoping and Vetting,newprojectsetup,maintainingfileorganizationstandards, project file archiving, etc.

  • Manageenterprisesupportrequests onbehalfofthestudioand communicate.

  • Manageprojectphotographintakeandorganization. Coordinateprofessionalphotographyasneeded.

  • Manage and coordinate 360 orders and communicate site survey orders to operations team.

  • Create, manage and submit quarterly studio Snapshot package.Manage approval and editing of final product.

  • Maintainregularschedulewithinestablishedbusinesshours.Manageandreportworkinghoursefficientlyandeffectively.

  • Create digital presentation boards in In-Design, Power Point, etc for Seniors and Designers

Basic Qualifications

  • Education(minimum educationlevel,degreeor certificationnecessary): Associatesdegree(anyfieldofstudy)or significant professional experience in related field.

  • Skills(minimumskillsrequired):ProficientusingMicrosoftOfficeSuite.

  • Yearsofexperienceinspecificfieldorutilizingdesignatedskills(minimumneededtobequalified):1-3years

  • Education(idealeducationlevel ordegree):BachelorsDegreeinrelatedfield

  • Projectmanagementinafast-pacedenvironment

  • Experienceinarchitecturaldesignorconstruction

  • Supportsadesign,creativeorsimilarorganization

  • Basicknowledgeofarchitecturaldesignsoftware(Revit, Sketchup,AutoCAD, In-Designorsimilar).
