Job Description:

Understand Big Data architecture, research and provide proven solutions for building large-scale data processing platforms. Design, then implement highly effective automated methods to build and update Big Data infrastructure. Design, then implement advanced service monitoring system for Big Data platform. Determine and develop operation metrics to measure operation and service quality. Setup goals to effectively increase service quality to meet business and operation's requirements. Work with the Big Data engineers to ensure data ingestion, transformation, and data at rest smoothly. Drive issue resolutions by support to replicate issues and find root cause in development environment.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or a foreign equivalent. Must have 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupation. Must have 5 years of experience in Cloudera CDH/CDP platform or AWS Cloud Services, e.g., ECS, EMR; BigData platform and services troubleshooting; Programming experience in Ansible, Terraform, Chef or any infrastructure as code; Building and managing large scale BigData infrastructure and platform; HDFS, Yarn, Kafka, Hive, Impala/Presto operations and optimizations; Cloud solution for BigData primarily with AWS including EMR platform, EC2, S3 and Data Lake; Infrastructure issue troubleshooting, root causing and providing solutions; Security policy for operating in customer facing production environment; Python, shell scripting, and Java to automate infrastructure buildup and changes; Manageability and automation interface of AWS services; System design and implementation towards infrastructure management; Programming skills with automation scripting capability like Shell Scripting, Ansible, Terraform, and Python; Linux system for various applications on configurations, optimization towards high availability and effectiveness of services; Data Policy and Governance services like Ranger and AWS Lake Formation. Telecommuting work arrangement permitted: position may work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
