Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Santa Ana, California

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist based in Santa Ana, California. The selected candidate will be part of our team, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of HR-related paperwork, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, and assisting in payroll preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing and filing of all HR-related paperwork, including employee contracts, benefits enrollment forms, and policy acknowledgments.

• Implement and maintain a systematic filing system for HR documents.

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee data, including personal information, employment history, and performance evaluations.

• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to employment documentation and recordkeeping.

• Collaborate with the payroll department to facilitate accurate and timely payroll processing.

• Assist in gathering and verifying payroll data, including hours worked, overtime, leaves of absence, and other relevant information.

• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, resolving discrepancies or directing them to the appropriate channels for resolution.

• Utilize accounting software systems, ADP financial services, Ceridian, IBM AS/400, Kronos Timekeeping System, and other relevant software in performing tasks.

• Perform administrative tasks related to 401k - RRSP Administration, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR). Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Knowledge and experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential.

• Familiarity with Ceridian is a must.

• Proficiency in IBM AS/400 is necessary.

• Proficient in Kronos Timekeeping System.

• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration is needed.

• Proficiency in About Time software is essential.

• Familiarity with Accounting Functions is required.

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary.

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed.
