We are looking for someone who would be part of the Settlement Operations team as a Specialist, Settlement Operations in Western Union.

Role Responsibilities

  • As a Specialist, you will be responsible to a variety of functions in Settlement accounting operations. The position assures accurate, valid, and timely settlement reconciliation in the different cash accounts, accounts receivable ensuring proper application of funds including the research and resolution of settlement discrepancies for US and Canada regions.

  • You will work on the reconciliation in the settlement sub-ledgers for different products and channels.

  • You need to ensure accurate and complete processing within Service Level Agreements.

  • The Specialist is in charge of performing the investigation, reconciliation and follow-up with the stakeholders.

  • You will communicate with stakeholders to find, fix and solve queries as well as be responsible for escalating issues and follow-up with management as necessary.

  • You need to comply with Western Union Internal policies and applicable regulatory and financial reporting requirements.

Role Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in settlement or accounting operations

  • Solid experience in one or more of the following disciplines: general accounting, accounts receivable, cash reconciliation, settlement reconciliation

  • High- sense of urgency, analytical skills, proactivity, teamwork, and communication skills

  • Proven time management

  • Attention to details.

  • Intermediates excel.

  • Strong Settlement Knowledge is a plus.
