Robert Half Legal has partnered with an established firm in Santa Barbara. We are seeking a skilled and experienced on-site Paralegal focusing on complex trust and estate administration. This position requires a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in trust and estate law, covering all aspects from A to Z. While not mandatory, probate experience would be a valuable asset.

Trust and Estate Paralegal Duties

• Assist attorneys with the administration of trusts and estates, from inception to conclusion.

• Manage all administrative tasks related to trust and estate matters, including asset collection, valuation, and distribution.

• Prepare and file legal documents, such as petitions, pleadings, and court forms.

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and decision-making.

• Communicate effectively with clients, beneficiaries, and other parties involved in trust and estate matters.

• Coordinate with external parties, such as financial institutions and government agencies, as necessary.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the administration process.

• Provide support and assistance to attorneys and other team members as needed.

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.

• 5-7 years of experience working as a paralegal in trust and estate law.

• Strong understanding of complex trust and estate administration processes.

• Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and legal principles.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in all work tasks.

• Proficiency in legal research tools and technology.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Probate experience preferred, but not mandatory.
