Intel Director of Testing and Verification in Santa Clara, California

Job Description

We are looking an exceptional candidate to work in a challenging, fast paced environment developing next generation optical modules and photonic engines to contribute to Silicon Photonics Product Division's mission to transform and lead datacenter connectivity and enable Intel's differentiation in the networking space.

As the Director of R&D Test and Verification, the individual will be responsible for leading a team of experts for the test and verification of the integrated optical transceiver chips, components, and modules at 100Gbps, 400Gbps and beyond, plus the sensing devices and co-packaged optical modules. The individual is responsible for defining the test and verification infrastructures, specifications, procedures and carrying out the R&D test and verification based on the chip, component and product-level requirements from technical marketing and design teams, interacting with broad interdisciplinary teams composed of experts in optical devices, electrical ICs, packaging, module design, manufacturing test, quality and reliability, and etc. to deliver products from R&D to high-volume production with superior performance, reliability, time to market advantage.

Qualifications

  • Masters of Science, Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Electrical / Optical Engineering or closely related field, plus 10+ years of industry experience in high speed optical devices, components, modules, networking systems for data center applications.

  • Demonstrated experiences through successful product development and effective management of test and validation teams working on complex optoelectronic components, modules and systems.

  • Required familiarity with physical layer optical transmission systems, modules, TOSA/ROSA, Silicon Photonics components, and various modulation schemes and latest DSPs.

  • Proven track record of test and verification experiences of optical chips, modules and subsystems for various operational environments and applications in the optical communication and sensing industry.
