The Team

Platform Infrastructure Automation team is focused on managing the lifecycle of Service Now SaaS platform. Our set of services and tools work seamlessly in our private Cloud and public Clouds delivering always available SaaS platform. The portfolio of services range from Infrastructure Automation, Platform deployment, High Availability Management and Infrastructure efficiency.

The Role

Design and develop the services and tools to manage our massive fleet of SaaS instances on our infrastructure and scale it to meet our business growth. Lead the technical strategy, architecture and core design and implementation. You will leverage the core Service Now platform and combine it with the evolving platforms in the open source community to make a difference. By joining us on this mission, you have the rare opportunity to:

• Influence how Service Now platform evolves to run on large scale private and public Clouds.

• Work on a number of ServiceNow C-Suite visible projects

To be successful you should have:

• Deep understanding of data center infrastructure – physical, virtual, containers, switches, racks, storage blades, load balancers firewalls etc., both in hardware and software and experience with automating their lifecycle.

• Experience building and operating massive distributed systems for mission critical functions.

• “Hands on the keyboard” coding in one or more of C, Java, Python, Javascript, Go

• Hands on experience with building Cloud native services and troubleshooting in Production with problems like concurrency, memory leaks etc.,

• Design and architectural patterns (e.g. high availability, disaster recovery, ACID, CAP, transaction management).

• Working on large scale projects with >50 people and delivering the results.

• 10+ years of experience in designing and building large scale automations in private and/or public clouds.

• Masters or PhD in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $227,600 - $398,400, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
