Your Career

In this role, you will be accountable for managing Palo Alto Networks' network and security infrastructure across enterprise, partner, and customer-facing services. We are seeking individuals with a proactive and innovative mindset to drive improvements, automation, and unconventional approaches. Collaborating with a team of seasoned network engineers, you will lead projects aimed at crafting, implementing, and maintaining our global WAN/LAN network infrastructure. Our IT environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and unpredictable, requiring analytical, agile, and influential leaders who can swiftly deliver impactful results and adapt to evolving business demands and priorities. Your Impact

  • Design and define firewall security rule structure

  • Define security control standards for layer 7 inspection ( aap-id, user-id, security profiles, etc.)

  • Design and define security architecture for ssl decryption

  • Define network security roadmap

  • Identify opportunities for self-service capabilities in network security

  • Work with network software engineers to help implement automation around network security

  • Work with the PANW product team and build the network security roadmap for the IT NetSec team

  • Work with the PANW product team to Influence PANW product innovation; be the customer zero for PANW security products

  • Work on incidents reported by business partners / incident management team on area of ownership

Your Experience

  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience in a fast paced Networking Enviornment

  • Extensive experience with designing, defining and implementing security controls - preferably with Palo Alto Networks security platforms

  • In-depth knowledge of different security controls ( app-id, user-id, security profile, url category, content, ssl decryption, firewall MFA etc)

  • Working experience with CI/CD for configuration automation

  • Leading multi quarter security initiatives

  • Extensive experience with addressing complex and critical operations issues

  • Working experience with backbone network infrastructure ( routing & switching )

  • Defining network security roadmap

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $109,900/yr to $177,850/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here .
