RedHat Agile Transformation and Innovation Internship in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Job summary

Become the heartbeat of an Open Transformation team and serve as a catalyst for large-scale digital transformation the open source way. The Red Hat team is looking for an Agile Transformation and Innovation Intern covering the Brazil region to join us Sao Paulo, Brazil. In this role, you will learn and use a variety of agile and modern application development practices, along with emerging technologies from open source communities. You'll collaborate closely with agile coaches who have led agile transformations and who can coach and nurture teams undergoing innovative transformation initiatives. During this internship, you will support everything from the selling and scoping of Open Innovation Labs (Labs) residencies and projects to guiding the delivery team’s implementation of these projects, ensuring customer success. Throughout the life cycle of a residency or a transformational engagement, you will work with those who have control and oversight from kickoff to closeout, determining scope details and monitoring the project's progress to ensure that it conforms to customer expectations and contractual agreements.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Inspire customers to embrace Red Hat’s open approach as a means of transforming not only what they do, but how they do it

  • Work with customers on initiatives to support agile transformations across both business and technical teams

  • Support teams in creating product vision and roadmap, writing effective user stories, and prioritizing backlog based on business value

  • Gain an understanding of program planning and management, team management, and process management and improvement, as well as team building skills

  • Innovate our current thinking and develop new approaches to change how organizations and teams deliver software and systems

  • Develop teams of agile coaches, developers, and testers to embrace the agile methodology and identify and resolve impediments

  • Work with customers on initiatives to support agile transformations across both business and technical teams

  • Serve as an agile project manager for Labs residencies, including residency planning and management, team management, process management and improvement, team building, and support, and coaching of the owners of our offerings

  • Coach owners of our offerings to create product vision and roadmap

  • Support teams in converting existing product requirement documents into product backlogs

  • Coach owners of our offerings to write effective user stories, prioritize backlog based on business value, and track value points in sprints

  • Handle change management and escalations

  • Support sales and business development for the Labs

  • Prepare and run Labs Discovery Session to sell Labs and to scope Lab engagements

  • Create efficient, quality proposals for customers by ensuring that all needs are defined through analyses of customer environments and expectations

  • Build interpersonal relationships with other Red Hat’s teams and serve as a trusted adviser for major Red Hat’s customers

  • Engage with and persuade C-level executives

Required skills

  • Passion for learning with imagination, courage, and curiosity

  • Soft skills including feedback, teamwork, problem-solving, time and focus management, critical thinking, and adaptability skills

  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills; solid written and verbal communication skills and ability to discuss ideas

  • Currently enrolled in the last two years of a technical or business university degree with at least 30 hours per week of work availability

The following are considered a plus:

  • Experience with agile or design thinking

  • Experience working in customer-facing positions as a professional services consultant

  • Experience working in sales or supporting the sales of professional services, including the development of the statements of work (SoWs), pricing, large-scale proposal development, and customer development

  • Some experience using collaborative tools and methods like stickies facilitation or remote tools like digital whiteboards

  • Fluent language skills in English; advanced Spanish is a big plus
