Waste Connections Parts Counter Attendant in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Location: 805 47th St E, Saskatoon, SK S7K 8G7

Reports to: Parts Supervisor

Compensation: Hourly

Job type: Full Time, Permanent

As a condition of employment, all new employees to safety sensitive positions must successfully pass a substance test within a two-week period of their hiring date.

Duties:

  • Ordering parts for heavy duty trucks, trailers, and yard equipment.

  • Ordering shop supplies and building supplies.

  • Professionally dealing with internal customer requests and outside vendors.

  • Use of several manufacturer’s parts catalogues.

  • Shipping and receiving duties.

  • Inventory control via billing parts on work order software, and annual inventory counts.

  • Creating and receiving purchase orders on dedicated payables software.

  • Operation of the parts vehicle to pick up orders from vendors and perform internal deliveries.

  • Adhere to all safety procedures and policies according to company Safety Manual and OH&S Regulations.

  • General shop and yard duties.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Parts department experience or mechanical aptitude considered an asset.

  • Class 5 Driver’s License required.

  • Must have a clean driver's abstract.

  • Ability to work independently or in a team.

  • Positive attitude and desire to grow with a company.

  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

  • Computer literacy an asset for future development.

  • A criminal record check will be required.
