Systems Administrator Senior (VDI) – TS/SCI Required

HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR (VDI) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Senior Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Administrator provides administration, monitoring, and update current and new virtual infrastructure systems, support critical system patches, respond to incidents, and schedule activities
Act as the Senior VDI System Administrator and is considered a subject matter expert on Virtual infrastructures, to include virtual networking, virtual systems, zero trust, virtual capabilities, Microsoft technologies to include FsLogix, Active Directory Services, DHCP, DNS, GPO management, while providing overall Tier 2/3 support.
Work in a VMware vCenter, vSphere, Hyper-V, and Horizon View environment supporting both virtual servers and desktops (VDI) which include Dynamic environment manager, NSX, VRealize, VMware Cloud, and site recovery manager.
Configure and maintain virtual pools, pods, and all virtual desktop components within VMware horizon and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
Apply DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG’s) as required
Develops functional requirements through interaction with end-users and coordinates with support teams on systematic enhancements or changes
Monitor, organize and work collaboratively with Network Operations, Cyber Security and other Teams to optimize and collaborate solutions
Learn, mentor, and train junior personnel as needed
Manage incident tickets and provide status updates on each ticket per the Service Level Agreement
Provide system and application diagnoses to remediate issues while engaging other teams as needed Basic Qualifications
Working knowledge of VMware Horizon View, VMware vCenter, VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Microsoft remote desktop system, Azure Virtual Desktop, and other virtual technologies
Possesses knowledge of security policies and general vulnerabilities management in relation to virtualization
Leads efforts to ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
Develops performance and security plans for computers that meet the needs of network users.
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professional
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, or Associate's Degree with 8 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience
Required Skillset:
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and support
Knowledge of related hardware and software
Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI
Required Certification(s):
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract
Required Security Environment Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent
Computing Env: MCSA Server 2016 (Must obtain the full AZ104 Microsoft Azure Administrator within 180 days from start date.)

Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract
