Gaven Industries manufactures highly engineered systems for electromagnetic and RF shielding including solutions for IEMI, EMI, RFI, and HEMP/EMP. Our diverse customer base is spread across multiple verticals with thousands of government and commercial customers worldwide. We are looking for a temporary drafter to join our team.
Position Summary:
Utilizes drafting software to prepare technical drawing for shielding related products
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides computer aided design (CAD) drafting, prepares drawings and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches
- Utilizes computer aided drafting software and other techniques, standards, and tools to prepare technical drawings
- Coordinates and consults with engineers or designers to complete projects
- Transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software
- Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards
- Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs
- Additional duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, and to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management
- Technical writing skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Proficiency in Inventor or similar drafting software
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Associates degree in Drafting & Design or equivalent work experience
2 or more years of related experience
*Length of project is expected to be 6 months- potential for direct hire*
