Role and Responsibilities

Your expertise will directly impact our ability to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable services to our customers both locally and globally.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support for aircraft performance systems on our customer flight simulators, ensuring their continuous availability and functionality at CAE training centers and customer sites worldwide. This entails troubleshooting issues, performing upgrades and updates, and addressing software and configuration matters on in-service simulators.

As part of your role, you'll engage in collaborative efforts with the Customer Experience Lead to coordinate solutions for open engineering issues and participate in customer visits for specific problem-solving purposes. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to expand your expertise by supporting other simulated systems and contributing to formal customer reviews and evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Addressing software and configuration issues on in-service simulators.

  • Providing technical support for aircraft performance systems, including flight dynamics, flight controls, and propulsion.

  • Collaborating with the Customer Experience Lead to coordinate efforts in addressing open engineering issues.

  • Participating in short-term trips to customers for specific problem-solving purposes.

  • Performing upgrades and updates to in-service simulators.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software, or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent experience).

  • Knowledge of aircraft performance systems, particularly flight dynamics and flight controls.

  • Understanding of software design processes and configuration management.

  • Technical expertise in software/systems support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and debugging.

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency in C/C++ or other programming languages.

  • Experience with other simulated systems such as avionics, autopilot, navigations, motion, and visual interfaces.

  • Familiarity with real-time simulation and QTG testing and validation.

Location

Amsterdam (near Schiphol airport).

Work Environment

Hybrid remote/office working approach with approximately 25% national and international travel.
