Learn more at HonorHealth.com. Responsibilities Job Summary The Retail Operations Assistant assists in the daily retail operation of an HonorHealth Medical Center Gift Shop. Responsibilities include pricing, displaying and selling quality merchandise at reasonable prices for the convenience of patients, visitors and employees and accurate fiscal accounting, cashiering / money handling practices, and providing an exceptional guest experience and positive volunteer relationships. Supports the daily operation of the gift shop. Receive, price and display appropriate merchandise. Moves items to sale as requested by Manager and in coordination with sister stores. Supports maintaining adequate everyday inventory to drive sales and guest satisfaction, including communication with vendors when appropriate. Makes notes of merchandise request from customers to share with Manager Assist to build positive relationships with all who enter the store (customers, vendors, staff, volunteers). Performs positive guest service, POS duties, and accurate money handling for the shop. Ensures the shop consistently meets all safety and infection prevention requirements; escalates concerns to appropriate department for assistance as needed and shares ideas for improvements with Manager. Work closely with Manager in operating gift shop and supporting volunteer roles. Support the shop in absence of Manager, including opening and closing procedures and all related processes Assist in staffing and training of volunteers as directed Maintain close communications with Manager regarding the gift shops and planned special projects. Shares ideas and participates in successful implementation. Assist in maintaining accurate monthly and annual reports, including daily tracking of monthly sales goal Consistent attendance at staff meetings will be maintained. Intra-departmental teamwork is a priority; consistent and professional communication with every encounter every time. Assist with financial accountabilities for all aspects of the retail operation. Will work with Manager on these accountabilities which may include: POS and inventory/pricing operations and daily sales reports, daily deposits, payroll deduction reconciliation, inventory par-levels and ordering, special event accounting, shrinkage, and year-end inventory Performs other duties as assigned as requested for successful store operations across the network. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED Required Experience 1 year Customer Service Experience Required
