About you and this role –

Dowhas an exciting opportunity for aSenior EH&S Delivery Leader, located inSeadrift, Texas.

As the Senior EH&S Delivery Leader, you will lead the implementation of the EH&S management systems within the assigned client organization at SDO. This role will ensure that the Plant/Site objectives are met and will serve as a partner and leader that drives accountability for results and collaboration for team success. You will define EH&S staffing and other resource needs and lead or influence the EH&S team to achieve effective EH&S management system implementation. You will lead one or more teams of professional individual contributors which may also include technical operations, business operations, or operational support employees. You may also lead other supervisors through a strategy, tactical plans and you will create the right environment for organizational success. You will communicate well with leadership stakeholders, your organization and you will set priorities and allocate resources to align with business objectives and execution plans.

Responsibilities –

  • Owns and leads EH&S Performance Improvement across SDO and Contractor organizations.

  • Owns and implements the site EH&S work processes, tools and procedures and ensure effective execution in order to attain and maintain an effective EH&S organizational support structure.

  • Drives cost-effective implementation of EH&S systems through standard work processes, common systems, collaboration with Company expertise groups, appropriate role assignment and training.

  • Coaches and mentors employees and create appropriate level of results driven accountability across the EH&S roles and identify opportunities to leverage EH&S resources, technicians, empowered teams.

  • Translates the needs of the EH&S leadership into a comprehensive action plan with clients. Serves as the key communication link between EH&S and our partners for work in your area of focus.

  • Identify gaps and strive for continuous improvement in how we do work. Drives implementation and maintenance of the work processes necessary within the client's organization to ensure compliance with local and country environmental, health, and safety legal requirements and the Company internal requirements.

  • Understands learning needs and ensures the organization is leveraging/growing knowledge and developing skills necessary for individual and organizational success.

  • Facilitates organizational Budgeting/Forecasting process.

  • Participates in incident investigations and the corrective action process for EH&S events and opportunities.

  • Manages OSHA reporting requirements.

  • Leads gap assessments against EH&S work process implementation.

  • Collaborates with facility and production leaders to pinpoint and address any identified gaps.

  • Partner with department leaders to execute the annual strategy as one cohesive team.

Qualifications –

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or at or above a U.S. E6 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class (PO2/Sgt) Military ranking

  • A minimum of 7 years EH&S, manufacturing or related experience required.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Skills –

  • 10 or more years EH&S, manufacturing or related experience required.

  • Previous experience in People Leadership, preferably in an Operations Leadership role or Maintenance Leadership role

  • Extensive experience with Dow Management Systems and managing change and sustainable improvement across multiple areas.

  • Ability to work comfortably and safely at elevated heights. Candidates must be familiar with, or willing to undergo training in, the proper usage and maintenance of safety equipment to ensure safe movement and operations at heights.
