Bryce Corporation Production Team Leader in Searcy, Arkansas

Summary: Manages the daily production operations within their assigned process (i.e. PrePress, Press, Lamination and Slitting). These duties include but are not limited to safety, production, waste, quality service and personnel. Works to constantly improve production operations through employee development and training. Monitors progress and sets direction while utilizing proper support resources for continuous improvement within plant operations and personnel.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensures hourly personnel have been effectively trained and certified in appropriate safety processes and procedures

  • Coordinates with Maintenance to ensure machinery and equipment is in safe and efficient operation condition

  • Communicates daily with plant personnel in regard to scheduling changes, material requirements, order changes and quality control problems

  • Coordinates training activities to ensure hourly personnel performance meets required level of safety, quality and production by giving feedback in a timely manner

  • Accesses and proofreads press and laminator schedules

  • Audits housekeeping specifications as scheduled

  • Attends production and safety meetings as scheduled.

  • Evaluates production problems before making decision to ship materials that are questionable

  • Executes Company personnel policies and procedures by reviewing handbook and working with Human Resources as needed to effectively resolve employee problems, conflicts, etc

  • Evaluates performance of personnel through annual and probationary appraisals, daily conversations and other formal/informal feedback mechanisms

  • Promotes teamwork within departments and buildings by maintaining consistency, honesty and integrity

  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • Prepares and maintains information to generate required reports

  • Other duties as assigned

    Education and Experience

  • Highschool education or GED

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Previous supervisor experience preferred

  • Ability to make sound, well thought-out decisions

  • Ability to perform long range planning

  • Ability to operate a personal computer
