Role Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Facilities Manager, the incumbent performs a variety of service and support functions for all credit union facilities including, but not limited to: overseeing all internal and external building maintenance; providing back--up to Physical Security Manager for physical security and alarm systems; assisting in the selection and supervision of staff; directing and assisting in records storage and destruction; managing inventory/warehouse for storage of deliverable goods to other facilities;  assisting with Capital Improvements; and assisting with coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of a diverse scope and range of Facility Infrastructure improvements and Capital Construction projects ensuring consistency with the credit union strategy, commitments, and goals, which includes, but is not limited to, development and deployment of new equipment, materials, technology, and services across all facets of the facilities maintenance and construction process. The incumbent has advanced, wide-ranging job knowledge, and a proven ability to handle multiple projects at one time.  The incumbent maintains a mature state of professional development, and can act as a mentor, provide coaching, and conduct training as needed.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

Operate at a high level, combining an in-depth understanding of Facilities operations, our construction industry and the operations of the credit union.   

Monitor and ensure contractor compliance for contracts including, but not limited to landscape, janitorial, HVAC, carpet, elevator, outsourced services and snow removal. Resolve contractor problems and issues as needed.

Schedule service and maintenance staff to respond to written work orders; inform managers of work response schedule.

Help develop and adhere to annual Facility Services budget.

Ensure that mechanical systems and other building equipment systems are kept in proper working order and repaired when necessary. Meet standards for safety, standards for OSHA and other governmental regulations, and meet manufacturer's maintenance requirements.

Respond to telephone and/or pages from staff for emergency assistance.

Act as contact for facilities maintenance, support services, landscape, mechanical systems, elevator maintenance, shipping and receiving services and other areas of responsibility.

Hire, assign and schedule staff to complete functions in all areas of responsibility as needed. Examples include support and maintenance functions, records storage and destruction activities according to the record retention policy, and other related functions.
